Chime/Buzzer Warning Systems
General information
Introduction
A chime warning system is standard factory-installed
equipment on this model. Refer to 8w-44 -
interior lighting or 8w-45 - central timer module in
group 8w - wiring diagrams for complete circuit
descriptions and diagrams.
Chime warning system
The chime warning system provides an audible
warning to the driver under the following conditions:
- Abs lamp illumination
- Airbag indicator lamp illumination
- Check gauges lamp illumination
- Door is ajar with vehicle in motion
- Driver side seat belt is not fastened with the
ignition switch in the on position
- Head or park lamps are turned on with the ignition
switch off and the driver side front door open
- Key is in the ignition switch with the ignition
switch off and the driver side front door open
- Low fuel warning lamp illumination - less than
about one-eighth tank of fuel remaining
- Low washer fluid warning lamp illumination
- Transmission oil temperature warning lamp illumination.

the owner's manual in the vehicle glove box for more
information on the features, use and operation of the
chime warning system.
